BC Family Fishing Charter Off Gulf Islands

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

This last week the fishing has really turned on in the Vancouver area with some great results. The Gulf Islands remain good with fishing off Gabriolla Island, Thrasher Rock and the Grande which are still producing Springs and Coho and an odd Halibut is still getting caught. Tackle that has been doing well: Gibbs Highliner Flashers with an assortment of spoons (Silver Horde, Homeland Security, and the Kitchen Sink). On this side of the Strait of Georgia the fishing has really started to be good. Howe Sound has been very productive and this is where we have been fishing mostly.

Trolling Hole in the Wall mainly up to Sunset Marina has had the best results. There has been a mix of Springs, Coho and even the odd Pink which is a surprise. The Springs have been ranging from 6lbs to 25lbs, the Coho 4 or 5lbs, and the Pinks 3 to 6lbs. We have been fishing from 43ft to 103ft using Gibbs Highliner Flashers with anchovies or the Coho Killer Red Racer which is the same color as the Silver Horde Homeland Security. This fishery should continue until the end of July and then we will move up the Sound and change over to some light tackle spin casting for the Pink Salmon with Gibbs Minnows.

Finally, the rain has stopped, so the West Van Shoreline has started to stack up with Coho and the odd Spring has also been getting caught. As long as the rain stays away and the Capilano River remains low, more schools of Coho will stack up every day and the fishing will get better and better. We are fishing in quite shallow water so it’s an exciting fishery, the tackle we use is Gibbs Highliner Flashers with anchovies, an assortment of Silver Hordes and Coho Killers Spoons and even a white Hootchie is a good bet.

Crabbing continues to be good where prawning has slowed down a bit but should pick up again soon. It’s time to confirm your summer trip as we are starting to book up quickly. The fishing for the next couple months should be nothing but great, call to ask any questions you have and we will point you in the right direction. Until the next report, like our Facebook page, Watermark Fishing Charters or our twitter @SalmonCharter to see what we are doing out there to the minute. Mark

Vancouver salmon fishing report June 13th 2013

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

The last few weeks of fishing in Vancouver have shown some mixed results. The local fishery has dropped off quite a bit with the odd nice Spring getting caught in Howe sound and on the West Van shoreline. The Capilano river is full of Coho salmon but with the river so high the fish are going straight up the river. We need a week of dry weather and those fish will start to stack up on the West van shoreline and the fishing will get very good quickly if this happens.  For local fishing right now we recommend 5 or 6hr charter it’s a great day on the water to see some of the sights around Vancouver.

The Gulf islands around the Gabriolla island remains very good. A lot of Springs are getting taken in shore or offshore, the surprising thing is some days there are a ton of Coho salmon mixed in with the Springs. This should continue for quite a while still we are mainly still catching fish on Silver Horde spoons with Gibbs Highliner flashers.  For fishing the Gulf islands full day charters are needed please feel free to call and ask questions about any of our trips and it’s a great time to book for trips later in the summer before the best tides and days are booked.

The crabbing has dropped off a bit but is still pretty good and the prawning remains very good.  The commercial prawning is nearly over so prawning should just get better from here on in.  Until next time good luck from Watermark

I also wanted to share a friends catch today.. A nice 40lb halibut caught by Oli on ‘Hooked Up’ at Thrasher while fishing for Springs.

Vancouver Salmon Charter Report May 26th

The last few weeks in the Vancouver Charter scene have seen mainly great results. In the last week; as it usually does, the south end of Bowen Island has slowed down with the odd nice fish still getting caught with some undersized mixed in. Fishing between 80 – 120 ft has been best using Gibbs Highliner Flashers with anchovies or a mixture of Gibbs Gypsy Spoons and Silver Hordes.

In Howe Sound, a few fish have been caught at Hole in the Wall and a few nice ones near Defence Islands. This area hasn’t been fished much with how good the south end of Bowen has been, but people that stay local will start to fish these areas again. Other great bets to try are Salmon Rock, 3rd Marker, Grace Islands, and Hutt Island.

Another area that will pick up soon if it doesn’t rain much is the West Vancouver shoreline. There are Coho Salmon in the Capilano River already. We need the river to come down and the fish will start to stack up pretty quickly on the shoreline. In the mix of Coho we also get into some nice Springs here.

For those that want to do full day trips, the Gulf Islands have been very good most days. A lot of boats have been getting their limits or very close to it. We’ve done a few trips over there and have just rocked it, this fishing should continue for at least the next month. Spoons generally have been best: Silver Horde Irish Cream, Homeland Security, Kitchen Sink being our best producers. We have caught fish from 60 – 180 ft.

Crabbing and prawning remain very good and should continue. If you want up to the minute reports of what we are doing out there “like” us at Watermark Fishing Charters on FB or follow me on twitter @SalmonCharter. If you have any questions feel free to call (604) 816-8944 – Mark.

Vancouver fishing report May 10th

By | Fishing Report | No Comments

It’s been another good week for fishing charters in Vancouver. Some days have been nothing but excellent from the south end of Bowen island to across the straight to Gabriolla island and Thrasher rock.

Across the Straight of Georgia at Thrasher rock and the Grande most days have been very good. Many days there have been limits with a few slower days mixed in. Look at my Facebook Watermark Fishing Charters pictures or my twitter feed on my website to see our weeks action. What worked best for us was Gibbs Highliner flashers with Silver Horde spoons between 100 to 180ft. The best sizes of spoons were the 3.5 and 4 inch ones with anywhere from a 5ft to 7ft leaders. The fish we got into we’re mainly 14 to 19lbs but there were a few real nice fish up to a beautiful 36lb one caught by a friend Brain. This trip is best done on a 9hr charter a great day in the Gulf islands.

The south end of Bowen island has also been very good most days fishing anywhere from a mile off shore to 6 miles off shore. We’ve had some great days with most fish coming on Gibbs Highliner flashers fishing anchovies or spoons between 90 and 130ft. There have been some great fish caught with a few proven fish around 30lbs most our fish have been between 10 and 20 lbs. This is a great fishery to do a 5 or 6hr charter and it’s only a 10 to 15 min run from the marina.

In the last week we have also fished in Howe sound on the West side of Bowen island at 3rd marker for a fishing derby and did quite well we were looking for the big one. We ended getting a 17lb and a smaller one that got us 4th and around 10th in the fishing derby we also has a chance at another one and released 2 undersized. It’s always a good bet to try Howe sound and try and intercept fish going to the Squamish river or other fish passing through. Other places that are worth a shot are Grace island, Porteau, Defence islands, Seymour bay, and Hole in the Wall near Horseshoe Bay.

It’s a great time to get out with this weather and how good the fishing has been its a great time of year because you have more than one option when you go fishing. Call for more info about charters and if you’re coming up for a holiday feel free to ask what else there is to do in the greater Vancouver area and I will help you out any way I can. 604-816-8944 Mark. Until next time good luck and hope to hear from you soon.

April 24th Vancouver salmon charter report.

The last week on the Vancouver fishing charter scene has improved a lot.

In the middle of Georgia straight flat calm and sunny a beautiful day on the water for a charter

In the middle of Georgia straight flat calm and sunny a beautiful day on the water for a charter

It’s seems that the fishery has arrived from the south end of Bowen island, Howe sound to the Gulf islands.

In the last week the South end of Bowen island has picked up. Most days were calm this week and the most productive area seems to be around the hump.   Most fish seem to be in the 12 to 15lb range but some real nice ones in the high teens and low twenties have been caught with the biggest and proven fish weighed just over 30lbs.  There seems to be very few undersize Spring salmon so when a rod pops off its usually a good one and we seem to be getting them between 70 and 140ft.

Another nice Spring salmon off the south end of Bowen island. Gibbs highliner flashers with herring or chovs

Another nice Spring salmon off the south end of Bowen island. Gibbs highliner flashers with herring or chovs

In Howe sound some nice Springs have been caught. The 2 days that were rough off the South end of Bowen island this week some nice fish were caught in Seymour bay and grace islands.  With some of the fish that are off the south end of Bowen island probably heading into Howe sound Hole in the wall, Defence Islands, Hutt island are a very good bets especially if the South end of Bowen island is rough.

Undersized Spring Salmon - South end of Bowen Island

Undersized Spring – South end of Bowen Island

The Gulf islands  have picked up also in the last week especially up at 5 Fingers just outside of Naniamo.  A few fish have been caught at Thrasher but not many people have fished there at all and with fish off the South end of Bowen and some people getting fish 8 miles off its hard to think that they’re not there at  Thrasher offshore or right in at the rock.

We seem to be doing very good for Dungeness crab and prawns still in Howe sound and it should continue.  It’s a great time to book a charter for a chance at a bunch of nice Spring salmon and to get a feast of crab and prawns for the barbecue. If you have any questions feel free to call and ask I will help you out any way I can and point you in the right direction. Until next time Watermark fishing charters wish you the best.

Another week in the Vancouver fishing charter scene with some good results. It seems to be shaping up like it usually does mid April in Vancouver’s fishing charter scene.

Small Spring to start the Day

Small Spring to start the Day

The weather and water conditions in the last week have been less than ideal but the people that braved the weather have had good results. There still are some nice fish getting caught on the West van shoreline on the flood tide and a few undersized mixed in. The guys fishing over near Naniamo have started to produce some nice Springs that usually happen at this time of year with the biggest I’ve heard of being in the mid 20’s. Those fish tend to keep moving down and it won’t be long before Thrasher rock or the Grande heats up if its not already. Howe sound is producing some very nice fish and the main spot that’s doing well is Grace islands but other great bets are Tunstal, 3rd marker or Hutt island. The place that we’ve all been waiting for at this time of year to heat up is the South end of Bowen island

Nice Spring off the south end of Bowen

Nice Spring off the south end of Bowen

and in the last few days it has. Quite a few boats are getting into Springs the last few days with one boat keeping 4 legal and ranging in size from 12 to the low 20’s.  We should see some good reports in the next few days as most people have now got the itch to get out there and try there luck.  The crabbing and prawning remain good and if its like past years the South end of Bowen should just keep getting better. Its a great time of year to get out for a Spring charter and fish the Strait of Georgia off the South end of Bowen island. Call for any questions and I will be more than happy to help you out any way I can.

Until next time good luck.

Fishing report from our Trip March 26th in Vancouver.

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

What a few days of nice weather and sea conditions do fo the Vancouver fishing scene. In the last few days a bunch of people have got out on the waters around Vancouver and we have started to see some better success. With the good weather forcast for the forseable future and the time of year the fishing will heat up.

On the far side of the Straight of Georgia there hasn’t been that many people fishing Thrasher, Grande, or Porlier pass as of yet but French creek fish have arrived so not long after they show up lower down in the Strait.

A nice spring with my friend bruser in the Vancouver area. Caught on a Irish Cream behind a Gibbs highliner flasher. pic.twitter.com/hqDgGEiKHf

On this side of the Strait of Georgia things have perked up and with the good weather to continue, more people will be out on the water enjoying the Vancouver salmon trips. English bay has been producing some nice fish along the West van shoreline up to the mouth of the Capilano river. Most Springs are getting caught close to the bottom using Gibbs or Silver Horde spoons, or anchovies behind a Gibbs highliner flasher. Some nice legal fish with a few undersize mixed in.

The South end of Bowen island fishery has started also it usually gets going the start of April but a few people that have gone out there early to try have been rewarded with a few nice legal fish with a few undersize Springs mixed in and flat calm and sunny weather to boot. The picture in this fishing report is from the South end it was caught on a Silver horde Irish creme behind a Gibbs highliner flasher.

Howe sound has also picked up there hasn’t been much news from Tunstal, 3rd Marker or Hutt mainly because very few people have fished there but is a real good bet to try with Grace islands producing. Grace islands has been producing the last few days with a few boats getting a couple nice Springs each and there also have been a few undersize the real nice thing is the feed has showed up there which we all like to see. Up Howe sound at Porteau cove feed has shown up there also and a nice 16LB Spring got caught by a boat that did one pass down the shoreline at the end of the day.

The prawning has been awsome and the Dungeness crab fishing has been the same. This should continue for the foreseable future. Feel free to call or email about any questions you have, starting to get booked up for our April fishery. Until next time enjoy and good luck. You can follow Watermark charters on Twitter @SalmonCharter and get daily updates when we are on the water.

Vancouver fishing report March 21st 2013

Another interesting week or so on the Vancouver fishing charter scene. The weather wasn’t the greatest this past week with rain, the high winds and rough seas. With those conditions not to many people wet a line, but with the nice weather arriving next week, I’m sure a bunch of people will take fishing trips over spring break.

In English bay this week there were a few fish caught on thew few fishing trips that took place. Mainly undersize with a couple legal spring salmon were caught, but again very few anglers were out. Howe sound produced similar results with people fishing Tunstal, 3rd marker and Grace being the most productive, with a few fish caught and a few undersize. I have not heard of any reports out of The Gulf Islands all week, but if the weather stays sunny and winds calm, there should be a lot of people taking trips to the Gulf Islands looking to catch some salmon. Most fish have been getting caught on the Irish cream, or anchovy behind a Gibbs highliner flasher.

The crabbing and prawning have remained very good, I only got out to check those a couple times last week, but they were still full. The phones have started to get busy with people inquiring about fishing charters for the South end of Bowen island fishery, that’s coming in the next couple weeks. Feel free to email or call to ask questions about our next fishery or about any of our great salmon runs that will be coming back this year. Until next time good luck.

Vancouver fishing report March 12th

With the nice weather in Vancouver over the last few days a bunch of people got out and enjoyed the Vancouver salmon fishing. We were out on Saturday for a charter and since we were picking our people up from West bay on Gambier island we fished over there. We started at 3rd Marker on the west side of Bowen island we only did a couple passes had an anchovie that got chewed up and that’s it. We headed over to Grace on the SW tip of Gambier island we did couple passes there and got a 12 or 13lb nice Spring salmon. We stopped fishing after that quick charter; but the customers had what they came for, a fresh Vancouver Spring salmon and a 12 crab for a feast that night at there cabin. We got our fish on a Gibbs highliner flasher with an anchovie our fish was full of herring.

With the nice weather this past weekend there were quite a few fish caught. English bay produced some nice Springs on the flood tide closer to the Capilano and on the Ebb tide more on the Jericho side of English bay amongst the freighters. There were Spring salmon also caught on the West side of Bowen island at Tunstal, 3rd marker, and Hutt island. There were also a few boats that went and tried there luck off the South end of Bowen island and there was some undersized that we’re caught. Most fish caught were on a mixture of spoons (Silver horde, Gibbs), or anchovies behind a Gibbs highliner flasher. The prawning and Dungeness crabbing in Howe sound remains very good.

It’s this time of year that the fishing picks up in the Vancouver fishing charters scene as the weather warms up and the sun starts to shine. To book a fishing charter or if you have any questions give us a call come enjoy a day on the waters of Vancouver BC on the 31ft Pursuit Watermark

Vancouver fishing charters in the last few weeks have been for the brave souls, as the weather has not been nice most days.  But there have been a few people that have braved the weather.

English bay has been producing some fish on the West van shoreline mainly using spoons. Gibbs flaming hans or the Silver horde Irish cream  seem to be 2 that are doing well behind a Gibbs high liner flasher.

Gear out on March 4th.

Gear out on March 4th.

Not to many people have been fishing across the straight, and it has slowed down quite a bit at Porlier pass but still a few fish being caught there. South of the South arm of the Fraser river near the coal port there’s still quite a few Springs getting caught there and mainly on spoons Gibbs or Silver Hordes.

Howe sound has been producing a few nice fish 3rd Marker, Tunstal, Hutt or Grace islands is a good bet to try. The fish that have been caught have been on strip, anchovies or spoons and dragging the bottom as usual. Gibbs flaming hans has worked and so has the Silver Horde Irish cream and Kitchen sink by themselves or behind a Gibbs highliner flasher.

Howe sound winter Spring. Caught on a Silver Horde Irish cream behind a Gibbs highliner flasher

Howe sound winter Spring. Caught on a Silver Horde Irish cream behind a Gibbs highliner flasher

With this weather being so nice if it stays I will be fishing a lot more and so will a lot of people and this is the time of year Howe sound usually picks up and we are only a month or so away from the South end of Bowen islands fishery which is one of our better Spring runs of the year call now to book a day.  The Crabbing and Prawning remain very good and should continue for months to come. Give me a call if you have any questions I will help you out the best I can. Until next time good luck. Watermark

With the nice weather in the last week a few more boats got out and got some decent fishing reports from in English bay to the Gulf islands. In English bay there have been more undersized fish caught with a few nice springs mixed in usually fishing the flood near the mouth of the Capilano river. The bait has shown back up in this area in the last week and the fish usually aren’t far behind. In this area within sight of downtown Vancouver we have been mainly using Gibbs flashers and there smaller spoons.
The West side of Bowen island there have been a few nice fish taken at Tunstal, 3rd Marker, Hutt island , and Grace. In these spots spoons seem to be getting most fish with the Silver Hordes, or the Gypsies mainly in the smaller sizes. The fish in these areas tend to be a lot bigger than the ones in the harbor and on the West Van shoreline.
Up Howe Sound at Defence island there have started to be some nice fish also one boat went out for a few hours in the past week and ended up getting 2 close to 20lbs. Not many people fish up there it’s a long run and for a lot of people it’s not much farther to go to the Gulf islands.
The hot spot in the last couple weeks is the Gulf islands at Porlier pass. Some days have been nothing but spectacular with boats those days limiting out. Again most fish have been getting caught on Gibbs flashers and on Silver Hordes and Gibbs Gypsies in the smaller sizes. There has not been any news from Thrasher rock or the Grande yet but with Porlier being so good those fish are moving somewhere and those spots if not already good should be very soon.
We have still been doing very well for spotted prawns and Dungeness crab in Howe sound and this usually remains strong for months it’s a great way to end a Vancouver fishing charter.   To keep up with what’s happening follow my twitter @salmoncharter or like my Facebook page Watermark Fishing charters page. To book a Vancouver fishing charter call Mark604-816-8944.  If you have any questions feel free to call and ask I will help you out anyway I can. Good luck till next time.

Vancouver fishing report Jan 27th

Well it’s near the end of January and there have been some nice Springs caught.  We still are generally fishing the West van shoreline during the flood tide trying to find feed if we find feed we seem to be getting a few nice Springs and on the ebb we troll over to the freighters and fish of Jericho beach up to the Bell Buoy.  The West side of Bowen island there has been a fewfish caught at 3rd marker, and Grace.  There has been more fish caught in English bay but they are smaller than the few fishthat have been caught on the West side of Bowen island.  In the last few weeks some days across the strait at Porlier pass have been nothing but excellent fishing with a few boats getting limits of Feeder Springs ranging in size from undersize to 15lbs.  Thats a great sign and fishing should get better and if those fish are there Thrasher rock should turn on or they might be there already.  Most fish have been getting caught on spoons and close to the bottom the flaming hans, and Irish cream have been working well.  The crabbing and prawning remain very good in Howe sound and should stay good for months to come.   Until next time good luck call to get up to the minute reports or follow me on twitter to see how we’re doing on the water that day.  untill next time tight lines.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The first Vancouver fishing report of the year. Salmon fishing has not been bad lately at all with one lucky angler getting a 25lb On the west side of Bowen island. The west side of Bowen island has produced some nice fish between Tunstal bay, 3rd marker, and Hutt island.  Nearer Gibsons at Grace island there have been some nice fish getting caught in the last week or so also.

The area that seems to be producing the best is the West van shoreline right up to the Capilano river. This area especially nearer the Capilano river we only fish on the flood tide. There has been a lot of feed in this area and the fish we have caught are full of 4in herring. Nearly all the fish have been caught right on the bottom and spoons seem to be working the best.    In January this area should just get better look at my twitter to see a few of the pics offish.  The salmon at this time of year are the best eating and fight hard.  It’s a great time of year to do a charter enjoy the comforts of my 31 pursuit with heaters and enjoy the waters of Vancouver and catch some local salmon. The crabbing and prawning is very good right now in Howe Sound also. Book now to enjoy a day on the water and get a big seafood feast.  To get areport feel free to call or when I’m on the water I keep up with my twitter usually so you can see what’s happening right now.   Happy New year and look forward to hearing from you.  Mark

Well it’s that time of year again to fish the flood tide near the Capilano river for big Spring salmon. The last week or so we’ve had some good days on the water with some of the Spring salmon getting caught in the high 20’s. The main part of this run should be showing up any day and as long as it does not rain the fishing can stay good until the middle of October.

We fish the flood tide only as this pushes the fish closer to the river. Follow my twitter on my web page to see how the day is going i try to keep up with it best i can If you have any questions feel free to call and I will help you out any way I can for your trip to Vancouver. The best way to book a charter is call as I spend most days on the water and don’t get to emails until I get home. Good luck till next time Mark

Time for another fishing report for the Vancouver area. In the last few days our fishery is starting to change. In English bay the Coho are starting to thin out and not biting like they have done for the last 3 weeks but we’re still catching a few mixed in with a nice Spring salmon here and there. Most of the Coho i’ve been catching are on anchovies behind a Gibbs flasher, or a small Gibbs flaming hans behind a Gibbs flasher. The Springs that i’ve hit have all been on bait so far. With the Coho fishery starting to slow down a bit the start of the Fraser Spring salmon have began. We had a good spurt of them come through about a week ago with the Bell Buoy and T10 being the hot spots with a lot of boats limiting out.

We’re now fishing at both those spots mainly using anchovies behind Gibbs flashers. With the main push of this run still to come we should have a good couple weeks ahead of us. We have a few openings left in August and September has started to fill up quickly to book a charter call 604-816-8944 Mark. To get more up to the minute reports go to my twitter @salmoncharter or it’s on my front page of my web page and i twitter and send pics as the day unfolds. Crabbing remains very good in Howe Sound. If you have any questions feel free to call i will help you out any way i can. Until next time good luck Mark

The fishing continues to be good in the Vancouver area.  The main salmon fishing is still being done in the English bay area; from the Bell buoy area to the West van shoreline.  The West van shoreline still on the right tides is producing good numbers of Coho salmon with the odd Spring mixed in.  In the last few days the Bell buoy has perked up with some nice Fraser river Spring salmon and should just get better as August continues.   With no rain in the forcast we should continue to have good fishing in the Vancouver area.  If you have any questions feel free to ask, give us a call to book a charter if you’re thinking of booking a charter for the Capilano Spring run in September call soon we’re nearly booked up for the good tides for the month already.  The crabbing remains great and the days we prawn are okay but has slowed down abit.   Good luck till next time

Another few good days on the water in the Vancouver salmon charter seen. The West van shoreline still is producing some good number of Coho salmon and a few nice Springs mixed in.  There isn’t as many fish getting caught  as a few days ago but that could easily have something to do with the all night thunder and lightning storm we had on tuesday night and have turned them a bit timid for a few days. We still did pretty good today we kept 6 hatchery Coho and released a wild one and all together had 17 hits. The crabbing today was great we kept 20 legal crab out of 2 traps.

There also have been a few more Spring salmon getting caught in the Bell buoy area which should just continue to get better as the Fraser river run of Spring return. Most other areas haven’t been fished much because of the production on the West van shoreline but can still be a good bet.   Look at my Twitter to get daily updates while I’m on the water. Call to book a charter or if you have any questions feel free to ask I will help you any way I can. Until next time good luck Mark

The fishing has been nothing but excellent in the Vancouver area in the last few days.  English Bay along the West van shoreline is the main area that has been fished.  Over the last few days most trips we’re getting 12 to 25 hits it’s been great.  Most fish have been Coho salmon in the 3 to 9lb range with the odd Spring mixed in between 15 and 25lbs.  This should continue as long as we don’t have a big rain and the Capilano river water level rises.  Yesterday afternoon was our best trip we headed down to 31st street area and started to fish around 430pm by the time we trolled to the peir at 25th we had our limit of 4 nice hatchery Coho salmon already and lost 3 or 4.  Over the next couple hours we watched Coho jump and fin on the surface and we released 8 or 10 more Coho and losing many more we ended the day with losing a nice Spring salmon and getting one around 18lbs.

We stopped fishing around 745pm it was a great few hours on the water.  There also have been some Springs starting to get caught at the Bell buoy and that should just get better with the Spring run we usually get off the Fraser in late August.  Up Howe sound is still a good bet but with the fishing on the West van shoreline to the Capilano river being so good it hasn’t been fished much.  To see what’s been happenning up to the minute check my twitter out on my web page.  Until next time good luck to book a charter please call 604-816-8944 Mark and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

August 3rd Fishing Report

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Time for another fishing report for the vancouver salmon fishing. In the last few days the salmon fishing has really picked up. The Gulf islands have slowed down but a few nice Spring are still getting caught and boats are still doing well for Lingcod. On the Vancouver side of the strait Howe sound is still producing a few fish. The best bets are whole in the wall for Springs and the odd Coho and up at Defence islands is another good bet for the returning Squamish Springs.  English Bay has really turned on the last few days mainly along the West van shoreline. A bunch of Coho and a few Springs mixed in have shown up and if the weather stays dry and warm it should get better ever day.  As long as the Capilano river stays low the fish should continue to stack up. The crabbing remains very good in Howe sound. Good luck till next time to book give me a call and I can give you up to the minute reports. Tight lines till next time
