In the last few days the first run of Spring Salmon of  the season seem to have arrived off the South end of Bowen Island. This run has shown up around the same time that it usually does. In the last few days most boats have done well with some boats getting 3 or 4 keeper Springs with losing a couple and releasing a few undersize. It should just get better for the next 3 weeks  and in the next few days our big tides disappear ‎and we get smaller tides that usually makes the fishing better. Fish are getting caught between 90 to 140ft and mainly on anchovies with some on spoons Gibbs, Silva Horde, G force being the spoons that are working in the smaller sizes.  It’s a great time of year to do a charter call to book or to ask any questions.
Howe Sound has produced some nice catches also. Porteau cove, Hole in the Wall, 3rd Marker, Tunstal bay, ‎have had some good days. Again a mixture of bait and spoons are working best.
The Gulf islands have also picked up with some good days at Thrasher near Gabriolla island and will just get better from now on into May and June. That’s another great day to do a charter but it’s a full day charter and we often go into Silva Bay for lunch if you guys would like to.
