What a few days of nice weather and sea conditions do fo the Vancouver fishing scene. In the last few days a bunch of people have got out on the waters around Vancouver and we have started to see some better success. With the good weather forcast for the forseable future and the time of year the fishing will heat up.
On the far side of the Straight of Georgia there hasn’t been that many people fishing Thrasher, Grande, or Porlier pass as of yet but French creek fish have arrived so not long after they show up lower down in the Strait.

The South end of Bowen island fishery has started also it usually gets going the start of April but a few people that have gone out there early to try have been rewarded with a few nice legal fish with a few undersize Springs mixed in and flat calm and sunny weather to boot. The picture in this fishing report is from the South end it was caught on a Silver horde Irish creme behind a Gibbs highliner flasher.
Howe sound has also picked up there hasn’t been much news from Tunstal, 3rd Marker or Hutt mainly because very few people have fished there but is a real good bet to try with Grace islands producing. Grace islands has been producing the last few days with a few boats getting a couple nice Springs each and there also have been a few undersize the real nice thing is the feed has showed up there which we all like to see. Up Howe sound at Porteau cove feed has shown up there also and a nice 16LB Spring got caught by a boat that did one pass down the shoreline at the end of the day.
The prawning has been awsome and the Dungeness crab fishing has been the same. This should continue for the foreseable future. Feel free to call or email about any questions you have, starting to get booked up for our April fishery. Until next time enjoy and good luck.
