Vancouver fishing report Jan 27th

Well it’s near the end of January and there have been some nice Springs caught.  We still are generally fishing the West van shoreline during the flood tide trying to find feed if we find feed we seem to be getting a few nice Springs and on the ebb we troll over to the freighters and fish of Jericho beach up to the Bell Buoy.  The West side of Bowen island there has been a fewfish caught at 3rd marker, and Grace.  There has been more fish caught in English bay but they are smaller than the few fishthat have been caught on the West side of Bowen island.  In the last few weeks some days across the strait at Porlier pass have been nothing but excellent fishing with a few boats getting limits of Feeder Springs ranging in size from undersize to 15lbs.  Thats a great sign and fishing should get better and if those fish are there Thrasher rock should turn on or they might be there already.  Most fish have been getting caught on spoons and close to the bottom the flaming hans, and Irish cream have been working well.  The crabbing and prawning remain very good in Howe sound and should stay good for months to come.   Until next time good luck call to get up to the minute reports or follow me on twitter to see how we’re doing on the water that day.  untill next time tight lines.
