Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
The first Vancouver fishing report of the year. Salmon fishing has not been bad lately at all with one lucky angler getting a 25lb On the west side of Bowen island. The west side of Bowen island has produced some nice fish between Tunstal bay, 3rd marker, and Hutt island. Nearer Gibsons at Grace island there have been some nice fish getting caught in the last week or so also.
The area that seems to be producing the best is the West van shoreline right up to the Capilano river. This area especially nearer the Capilano river we only fish on the flood tide. There has been a lot of feed in this area and the fish we have caught are full of 4in herring. Nearly all the fish have been caught right on the bottom and spoons seem to be working the best. In January this area should just get better look at my twitter to see a few of the pics offish. The salmon at this time of year are the best eating and fight hard. It’s a great time of year to do a charter enjoy the comforts of my 31 pursuit with heaters and enjoy the waters of Vancouver and catch some local salmon. The crabbing and prawning is very good right now in Howe Sound also. Book now to enjoy a day on the water and get a big seafood feast. To get areport feel free to call or when I’m on the water I keep up with my twitter usually so you can see what’s happening right now. Happy New year and look forward to hearing from you. Mark
