Time for another fishing report for the Vancouver area. In the last few days our fishery is starting to change. In English bay the Coho are starting to thin out and not biting like they have done for the last 3 weeks but we’re still catching a few mixed in with a nice Spring salmon here and there. Most of the Coho i’ve been catching are on anchovies behind a Gibbs flasher, or a small Gibbs flaming hans behind a Gibbs flasher. The Springs that i’ve hit have all been on bait so far. With the Coho fishery starting to slow down a bit the start of the Fraser Spring salmon have began. We had a good spurt of them come through about a week ago with the Bell Buoy and T10 being the hot spots with a lot of boats limiting out.

We’re now fishing at both those spots mainly using anchovies behind Gibbs flashers. With the main push of this run still to come we should have a good couple weeks ahead of us. We have a few openings left in August and September has started to fill up quickly to book a charter call 604-816-8944 Mark. To get more up to the minute reports go to my twitter @salmoncharter or it’s on my front page of my web page and i twitter and send pics as the day unfolds. Crabbing remains very good in Howe Sound. If you have any questions feel free to call i will help you out any way i can. Until next time good luck Mark
